1. Access data and hosting

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Your visit to our website is logged. Each time the website is accessed, the web server only automatically saves a so-called server log file, whereby the following data is processed: Name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data). This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring the site’s trouble-free operation and improving our services. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offer, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f GDPR. All access data is deleted at the latest seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

HOSTING
The services for hosting and displaying the website are partly provided by our service providers as part of processing on our behalf. Unless otherwise explained in this privacy policy, all access data and all data collected in forms provided for this purpose on this website are processed on its servers. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

General information about MailChimp

Rocket Science Group LLC (MailChimp) maintains online platforms that allow our users to stay in touch with their subscribers, primarily via e-mail. They allow users to upload e-mail addresses and other subscriber profile information – such as name, physical address and other demographic information – to the MailChimp database. This information is used to send e-mails and enable the use of certain other MailChimp features for these users. In accordance with its published privacy policy, MailChimp shares some information with third parties to provide (and support) the services MailChimp offers to users. MailChimp also shares some information with third-party advertising partners, in order to better understand users’ needs and interests, and to provide more relevant content and targeted advertising to those users and other users.

You can withdraw your consent to receive our newsletter at any time within the received e-mail by clicking on the link in the lower section. If you have unsubscribed by clicking on the unsubscribe link, your data will be deleted from MailChimp.

Newsletter evaluation

If you receive a newsletter via MailChimp, information – such as IP address, browser type and e-mail programme – is stored, in order to provide us with information on the performance of our newsletter. MailChimp can determine whether the e-mail has arrived, whether it has been opened and whether links have been clicked on by means of the images called web beacons (details can be found at https://kb.mailchimp.com/reports/about-open-tracking) integrated in the HTML e-mails. All this information is stored on MailChimp’s servers, not on this website.

MailChimp is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. 3. Cookies and other forms of technology

GENERAL INFORMATION
In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use technologies on various pages, including so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your terminal device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).
We use such technologies that are absolutely necessary for the use of certain functions of our website (e.g. shopping cart function). These technologies collect and process IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about your use of our website (e.g. information about the contents of the shopping cart). Within the framework of a balancing of interests, this serves overriding legitimate interests in an optimised presentation of our offer in accordance with Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

We also use technology to comply with the legal obligations to which we are subject (e.g. to be able to demonstrate consent to the processing of your personal data), as well as for web analytics and online marketing. Further information on this, including the respective legal basis for the data processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy.

You can find the cookie settings for your browser under the following links: Microsoft Edge™ / Safari™ / Chrome™ / Firefox™ / Opera™

Insofar as you have consented to the use of the technologies pursuant to Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. a GDPR, you may revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact option described in the privacy policy. The data stored in our cookies is not linked to your personal data (name, address, etc.).

4. Use of cookies and other technologies for web analysis and advertising purposes

If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. a GDPR, we use the following cookies and other technologies from third-party providers on our website. Subsequent to the end of the underlying purpose and the end of the use of the respective technology by us, the data collected in this context will be deleted. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. For more information on your revocation options, please see the section “Cookies and other technologies”. For more information – including the basis of our collaboration with each provider – please see the individual technologies. If you have any questions about the providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

4.1 Use of Google services

We use the technologies of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), as described below. The information automatically collected by Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and stored there. For the USA, there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. Our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. If your IP address is collected via Google technologies, it will be shortened before being stored on Google’s servers by activating IP anonymisation. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server and shortened there. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, the data processing is based on an agreement concluded for the respective technology between jointly responsible data controllers in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google’s privacy policy.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information on your use of our website), from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data. The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement on commissioned processing by Google.

For the optimised marketing of our website, we have activated the data sharing settings for “Google products and services”. This allows Google to access the data collected and processed by Google Analytics and subsequently use it to improve Google’s services. Data sharing with Google under these data sharing settings is based on an additional agreement between data controllers. We have no influence on the subsequent data processing by Google.

Further enrichment
At the same time as using Google Analytics, Software ReUse GmbH uses the service Leadfeeder, which is operated by Liidio Oy / Leadfeeder, Mikonkatu 17 C, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. Leadfeeder accesses the list of website visitors’ IP addresses provided by Google Analytics in the evaluation, and links the list of IP addresses to information about the companies that can be found on the internet under these IP addresses. Due to the shortening of the website visitors’ IP addresses, which is already carried out when using Google Analytics, a direct personal reference is not established. A reference to a person may be presumed when reviewing the linked company information. For more information on Leadfeeder and the data collected, please see: www.leadfeeder.com/privacy/, information on Leadfeeder and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation: help.leadfeeder.com/faqs-and-troubleshooting/is-leadfeeder-ready-for-gdpr.

GOOGLE ADS

For advertising purposes in Google search results, as well as on third-party websites, the so-called Google Remarketing Cookie is set when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information on your use of our website) and by means of a pseudonymous CookieID and on the basis of the pages you visit. Any further data processing will only take place if you have activated the “personalised advertising” setting in your Google account. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing.

GOOGLE RECAPTCHA

In order to protect against misuse of our web forms and spam by automated software (so-called “bots”), Google reCAPTCHA collects data (IP address, time of visit, browser information and information on your use of our website) and carries out an analysis of your use of our website by means of a so-called JavaScript and cookies. In addition, other cookies stored by Google services in your browser are evaluated. No personal data is read out or stored from the input fields of the respective form.

GOOGLE FONTS

For the uniform presentation of the content on our website, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information) is collected by the script code “Google Fonts”, transmitted to Google and then processed by Google. We have no influence on this subsequent data processing.

YOUTUBE VIDEO PLUGIN

To integrate third-party content, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information) is collected via the YouTube video plugin in the extended data protection mode used by us, transmitted to Google and subsequently processed by Google only when you play a video.

4.2 Use of Microsoft services for web analytics and advertising

We use the technologies set out below from Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, D18 P521, Ireland (“Microsoft”). The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between jointly responsible data controllers in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. The information automatically collected by Microsoft technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA and stored there. For the USA, there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. Our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. You can find further information on data processing by Microsoft in Microsoft’s data protection information.

MICROSOFT ADVERTISING

For advertising purposes in the Bing, Yahoo and MSN search results, as well as on third-party websites, the so-called Microsoft Advertising Remarketing Cookie is set when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information on your use of our website) and by means of a pseudonymous CookieID and based on the pages you visit.

For website analytics and event tracking, we use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) to measure your subsequent usage behaviour when you have accessed our website via a Microsoft Advertising ad. For this purpose, cookies may be used and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information on your use of our website based on events specified by us – such as visiting a website or subscribing to a newsletter) may be collected, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. If your Internet-enabled devices are linked to your Microsoft account and you have not deactivated the “Interest-based advertising” setting in your Microsoft account, Microsoft may generate reports on usage behaviour (in particular, cross-device user numbers), even if you change your terminal device, so-called “cross-device tracking”. We do not process personal data in this respect; we only receive statistics compiled on the basis of Microsoft UET.

4.3 Use of Facebook services

USE OF FACEBOOK PIXEL

We use Facebook Pixel as part of the technologies of Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) outlined below. For this purpose, a cookie is automatically set by Facebook Pixel when you visit our website, which automatically enables recognition of your browser when visiting other websites by means of a pseudonymous CookieID. Facebook will combine this information with other data from your Facebook account and use it to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use, in particular, personalised and group-based advertising.

The information automatically collected by Facebook technologies about your use of our website is generally transmitted to a server of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA and stored there. For the USA, there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. If the transfer of data to the USA falls under our responsibility, our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. Further information on data processing by Facebook can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy.

FACEBOOK ANALYTICS

As part of Facebook Analytics, statistics about visitor activity on our website are compiled from data about your use of our website collected using the Facebook Pixel. The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement on commissioned processing by Facebook. Their analysis serves the optimal presentation and marketing of our website.

FACEBOOK ADS

We use Facebook Ads to advertise this website on Facebook, as well as on other platforms. We determine the parameters of the respective advertising campaign. Facebook is responsible for the exact implementation, in particular, the decision on the placement of the ads with individual users. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, the data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. Joint responsibility is limited to the collection of the data and its transmission to Facebook Ireland. The subsequent data processing by Facebook Ireland is not covered by this.

Based on the pseudonymous cookie ID set by the Facebook Pixel and the data collected about your usage behaviour on our website, we operate personalised advertising via Facebook Pixel Remarketing.

Through Facebook Pixel Conversions, we measure your subsequent usage behaviour for web analytics and event tracking when you have arrived at our website through a Facebook Ads ad. The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement on commissioned processing by Facebook.
